K-Pop and Building a Family

Hey there! Welcome to CULT SEVEN—the passion project that’s as messy and real as life itself. I’m the human behind all this and there’s a personal story here. It’s a mix of chaos, late-night brainstorming, and sheer determination.

How It Began

CULT SEVEN didn’t start out as some grand plan with events, merch, and social media. It was just me, trying to merge two things I’ve always been drawn to: building connections and creating something meaningful. Back in the day, I was that friend throwing theme parties, brainstorming a million new ideas with my husband, or bringing people together in our local community. There’s something that drives me to bring people together in a way that feels real.

Then came K-pop, and BAM! I jumped head first into that stan life. BTS was my entry point (classic, right?), and their message of resilience got me. I created an Instagram, started making content, meeting incredible people, and realizing how supportive this community is.

Why CULT SEVEN Exists

CULT SEVEN is how I bring these two worlds together. I wanted to create a space where K-pop fans can come together, share the love for the genre, and feel like they’re part of something. From our events to the merch, it’s about building something authentic.

Balancing creativity with all the chaos is a full time job on its own. But when someone tells me they made a friend at one of my events or someone gets excited to purchase one of my t-shirts? I'm running on those warm feelings all week.

Why the Name CULT SEVEN

It's a reference to my ults and an inside joke. There are seven BTS members and people love to call K-pop a cult. The name might catch people off guard, but the real ones get it.

The Journey So Far

I’ve been involved in community building long before I even heard of K-pop. From organizing parties to helping out with grassroots events, I’ve always found ways to bring people together. What makes this special is how it’s allowed me to bring together my love for pop culture and design with my love of community. Along the way, I’ve learned how to embrace who I am—even if it’s not what everyone expects—and how to stay true to my vision while growing.

What’s Next

This is just the start. I want CULT SEVEN to be more than just a brand; I want it to be something that lifts people up. Be it events, digital downloads, creative ideas, and sharing knowledge, my goal is to keep building a community that’s genuine.

You read this far so you’re officially a part of the CULT SEVEN family, and we’re going to have fun. Let’s make some noise.
